“Helping leaders make conscious, congruent transitions in their careers”

My expertise lies in the domain of transitions, when senior leaders are appointed to new roles, when they transition out of organizations or when they make shifts in their identities. In all these cases they experience a transition process.

I have personally coached around 100 newly appointed senior leaders at the CEO, n-1 and n-2 levels, across many different sectors and in more than 15 countries. This is around stepping up in their roles, quickly integrating into their new organizations, and taking their leadership identities to the next level.

As a partner at Egon Zehnder I advise boards and CEOs on senior-level appointments (CEO and C-suite), succession planning and leadership development. I am a pioneer in developing innovative solutions and particularly proud to have played a leading role in shaping our proprietary approach to Accelerated Integration and Senior Leadership Development.  In the past I have held the role of Practice Group Leader, Global Innovation Practice and currently hold that of  the Practice Group Leader, Accelerated Integration.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, I worked for The Coca-Cola Company and Procter & Gamble, holding  roles at country and head office levels. I have a BSc in Business Administration from The American College of Greece and an MBA from Columbia University. I am a trustee at The American College of Greece.

My motivation lies in helping leaders become more conscious and whole, enabling them to lead with greater congruence. To enable myself to play this role, I continue to work on my  development and evolve my  consciousness. It has become increasingly evident to me that I have always been occupied with finding inner freedom and restoring my wholeness.

The work I engage in is also built on an understanding of the critical importance of transitions in our lives and our careers. It is during these transitions that we move from the familiar and habitual towards the new and untested. We are called to unlearn, unmask, clarify and redefine who we are. Sometimes transitions are triggered by external events such as losing a loved one or missing out on a promotion. Other transitions are triggered by a natural, inner unfolding such as adolescence or midlife.

Sometimes transitions are well defined: taking on a new job, or exiting from an organization. Others are more subtle: changing how we see ourselves as leaders or letting go of a part of ourselves to embrace a new identity. The more aware and conscious we are in experiencing these transitions, the more we give full expression to ‘who we are’ – and the more our potential comes out to meet us.

My passion around supporting leaders to integrate into new roles, alongside my own life’s journey, makes it clear that transitions are not easy. But they are unavoidable: life is movement and change is continuous. When we embrace our transitions with consciousness and care, we make them part of the process of coming to our whole. In that way, we shift our lives – step by step – from the “survival dance” to the “sacred dance.”

We are living in a time of unprecedented change and humanity is at a turning point. We have an urgent need to turn the tide on our planet. This calls for new types of leaders who can lead from a place of authenticity, restore their wholeness, and find more freedom and more meaning—within themselves, for their organizations, and for their world.
